Image Casting for Recovery UK & Ireland is immensely grateful to Wendy Gibson, a very well-known fly-tier who has very kindly tied 12 sets of 18 flies for the entomology section of the CFR retreat.  The lady participants study the natural insects and then match them to match to pictures on laminated sheets. They then match the pictures on the laminated sheets to the flies in the box.  In this way, they a) learn how the natural behaves, b) learn the names of the natural, c) learn which fly to fish to represent the natural visually and d) learn how to retrieve the fly so that it behaves like the natural, basically end-to-end entomology lesson!

Image Wendy’s framed collections of trout and salmon flies are some of the best quality currently available in the U.K. and have been featured on three TV programmes about her talent; ‘Maker’s’ with Jan Leaming, a spot on Midlands Today with the BBC, and ‘Down to Earth’ for Welsh TV.
Trade enquiries welcome. Group and Guild demonstrations. Private and night school lessons available.
