A Cross Section of our Supporters

The Countryside Alliance Foundation administers Casting for Recovery UK & Ireland (CfR) and has been the major financial backer since the programme began. CfR is grateful to enjoy the support of our retreat venues, notably the Mount Falcon hotel in Co Mayo, Kimbridge on the Test in Hampshire and Forbes of Kingennie in Angus. Many individuals also contribute in a number of ways to the success of the project.

"At Orvis we are hugely impressed by the highly professional way the retreats are planned and organised. Literally every detail and potential eventuality has been carefully thought through and provided for. This makes for a highly relaxing and rewarding experience for the participants. It’s a total escape with like-minded company in a beautiful location and wonderfully therapeutic as a result."

Forbes of Kingennie have supported CfR in many ways over many years, holding fundraisers and sponsoring the Sunday lunch each time a retreat is held at the resort. Mike Forbes, owner of the Forbes of Kingennie resort: "'Casting for Recovery retreat weekends have become so special for the guides, our staff, Gail and myself that we feel a great sense of reward in giving a little back to such brave and courageous ladies."

Clay and Sue Brendish of Kimbridge on the Test have been patrons and supporters of CfR for a number of years. They feel the estate is so beautiful and so good for the soul that they enjoy sharing it with others. They say:  “It is really satisfying and it gives us great pleasure to see 12 strangers arrive on Friday evening and 12 friends depart on Sunday afternoon”
